      The Maryland Water Monitoring Council held its 10th Annual Conference on November 18, 2004 . Water monitoring professionals and citizen volunteers met for the day at the Maritime Institute in Linthicum , Maryland . The morning plenary session included a keynote address by M. Gordon Wolman from the Department of Geography and Environmental Engineering at The Johns Hopkins University . Dr. Wolman, also, delivered the keynote address at the first conference in November 1995.
      The afternoon consisted of two concurrent sessions and, for the first time, a Poster Roundtable, an opportunity to hear poster session participants speak briefly about their work in a PowerPoint presentation held in the auditorium. The 10th Anniversary of MWMC was observed during an afternoon "Cake Break", one for each of our 10 years.
